A city center shop in an Irish city has caught the eye of shoppers with a quirky offer – a free coffee for anyone who spends £82,000 (€100,000) with them.
A plaque outside The Gold Reserve on Castle Street in Cork shows the tongue-in-cheek deal, with a hot drink being given out to anyone who reaches the minimum spend mark.
CorkBeo couldn’t resist checking in to see if such a deal could be legit, but it was confirmed by Morgan Wong, who insisted they don’t screw up.
He laughed, “I mean, it’s a joke, but it’s not really a joke. I’ll probably buy you more than one coffee if you spend that much with us.
“Unfortunately nobody has taken up the offer yet, some are working towards it, you know.”

We’re sure experienced bargain hunters in the Cork area will be quick to pick this one up when they find it out.
Known for their gold and silver bars, the small dealers regularly run special offers and are able to cater to the needs of their customers.
“We are a small gold and silver dealer in the heart of Cork City,” the website reads.
“We can serve all clients, whether you are just getting started in gold and silver or are a seasoned investor.”
They say they are always happy to advise people too and say people always get a good discount on larger orders.
