Clan O’Conall is a hand-drawn action-platformer that’s about to make the switch

Fancy a game for Switch based on Celtic mythology? We’re not getting too many of these, sorry – but you’ll enjoy Clan O’Conall and the Crown of the Stag, an action-platformer from Canadian studio HitGrab.

Drawing on Irish, Welsh and English archaeology, art and history, Clan O’Conall is all about a group of three fighters – Haggish, the heavyweight crusher, Kilcannon, master of sword and spear, and Clakshot, a swift ranger – who fight their way to the mother of demons, Caoránach, to save her father.

You’ll also contend with a series of Celtic-inspired bosses along the way, such as the giant hellboar Twrch Trwyth, the headless horseman Dullahan, and the colossal cyclops Balor.

The game has just been announced for a June 2nd, 2022 release on Nintendo Switch, where it will cost £5.59 / $7.49 / €6.19.

Does this cel game tickle your imagination? Let us know in the comments and sorry for the bad pun. It’s really hard to do Celtic puns, okay?
