Classical pianist plays concert on Brighton’s i360

A world-renowned classical pianist will perform a sunset concert high above the coast.

AyseDeniz Gokcin, recently named a musician to ‘watch out for’ by BBC Music Magazine, will play to the crowd at i360 in Brighton.

It will be the first time an artist will play a grand piano inside the observation tower’s glass envelope.

Visitors to the i360 will enjoy a program featuring Chopin, Beethoven, some of their own compositions and even a classic arrangement by Pink Floyd.

i360’s Laura Pauley said people were “spoiling themselves”.

She said: “Ayse is known for surprising her audience, often mixing rock tunes from bands like Pink Floyd and Nirvana with classical music.

“Ayse’s album ‘Beethoven Senses’ is available on all British Airways flights, so a perfect collaboration on a stunning sunset flight.”

Ayse made her concert debut when she was just nine years old.

Regarded as a child prodigy, she is now internationally known for her ability to fuse the classical genre with rock music, create original arrangements and perform sold-out solo shows worldwide.

Tickets for the performance on board the 7:30pm and 8pm flights on 20 August are available from the i360 website for £17.50. Classical pianist plays concert on Brighton’s i360
