“Abbott Elementary” was created, executive produced, and written by Brunson, with Patrick Schumacker, Justin Halpern and Randall Einhorn also executive producing. Earlier this year, Brunson made history as the first Black woman to receive three Emmy Award nominations for comedy, with the film winning the symbol for Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series. .
