THIS IS a genius iPhone screenshot hack that you might not have known.
A clever trick is being shared online that allows you to make your screenshots much more effective.
There is a way to add a magnifying glass to part of the screenshot, to magnify important information.
And you can even blur the rest of the screenshot, to really add focus to what’s important.
It was shared on TikTok by @mikekhieuwhere it has earned dozens of likes.
First, take a screenshot and then tap the thumbnail in the corner.
Once you’re in the edit screen, tap the plus icon in the bottom right corner.
Then select Magnifier from the list and you can place the magnifier on part of the image.
Now tap the plus icon again, select Opacity and set it to maximum.
This will mostly mask the background, highlighting the magnified element even more.
You don’t have to choose the maximum opacity if you prefer fading.
That’s not the only iPhone screenshot hack you need to know.
It also makes it a bit easier to take regular screenshots.
To enable this feature, make sure you’ve updated to iOS 14 or later. To do that, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
Then go to your Settings.
Scroll down and tap “Accessibility,” then click “Touch.”
Then scroll down to “Back Tap”.
You will have the choice to enable “Double tap” or “Triple tap”.
Whichever you choose gives you the same options.
Click to see which features you can currently control by double-tapping or triple-tapping the back of your phone.
These include taking screenshots, volume up or down, zooming, scrolling and more.
For example, if you want to use Double Tap to take a screenshot, click the “Double tap” option and then select “Screenshot”.
You will now be able to take a screenshot just by tapping the back of your phone twice.
Keep in mind that this feature may not work if you have a thick case.
One more thing
And there’s one more tip you need to know.
Apple allows you to take a full page screenshot as a PDF.
This could be a web page, document or email longer than the length of Iphone screen.
Take a screenshot, go to the editor, and then tap Full page at the top.
You can then save the screenshot by tapping Done, choosing Save PDF to File, choosing a location, and tapping Save.
Alternatively, you can share the screenshot by tapping the Share icon (the square with the arrow), choosing a sharing option (like Messages or AirDrop), and then sending the PDF.
