Coincidentally: Sonic The Hedgehog’s ‘ugly’ design apparently makes a cameo in the new Chip N’ Dale movie

The original Sonic the Hedgehog The film made headlines when it was initially unveiled for all the wrong reasons. Fans were quick to call out this disturbing-looking version of the blue blur. Luckily Paramount redesigned it and the “ugly” design got rid of it.

While we didn’t expect to ever see this version again, it was rediscovered for reasons unknown Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers Movie on Disney+ has resurrected this special version of Sonic with human-like chompers. In an Empire review, Ugly Sonic turned out to be one of the funniest highlights of the entire film:

“But the funniest moments feature someone who has never made it to the big screen. Yeah, brace yourself for ‘Ugly Sonic’, proof that hedgehogs with human teeth aren’t always a bad idea.”
