Coleen Rooney ‘signs Disney+ deal for rights to Wagatha Christie story’

Coleen Rooney has reportedly sold the rights to the Wagatha Christie storyline to Disney+ in a multi-million pound deal.

The social media influencer and wife of soccer star Wayne Rooney won the defamation lawsuit brought by Rebekah Vardy in July.

Vardy attempted to sue Rooney for defamation, but ultimately Rooney’s Instagram post outing Vardy for leaking stories to the press was ruled true.

Now Rooney is said to have sold the rights to the story to streaming service Disney+ in a lucrative deal to create a documentary about the legal drama.

Corresponding The sunthe deal is worth more than husband Wayne’s current role as manager of DC United in Washington, DC and will give Rooney an opportunity to share her side of the story.

“Since her first scathing social media post with Rebekah, she has remained steadfastly silent,” a source told the publication.

“Now the public will see firsthand the toll this whole case has taken on her and her family — and why she took the action she did.”
