Combat incident: Forensic officers at crime scene in East Sussex town
Several officers in boiler suits investigate inside a city cordon while other officers stand at police cordon tape.
Police cordon tape can be seen wrapped around bollards at Old Ladies Court in Battle while debris can be seen on the cobbled street in the cordoned off area.
The nature of the incident is currently unclear. Sussex Police have been asked for comment.
