When he got back to his car, he found a short and cryptic line scrawled in blue marker on his windshield.

It says: “I can park your car outside your house so you have nowhere to park when you get home.”

Sharing the eerie message on Facebook, Mr Hargreaves said the letter was “ridiculous” and suggested it was a passive-aggressive way of telling him not to park in that space.

He wrote: “Not private parking and someone wrote this on my car?

“Can’t you park in a public space in Ramsbottom?

“What’s going on?”

The driver added: “P.S. you can of course park outside my house, it’s a public road – so it’s allowed, come see me, I’ll direct you in and I definitely won’t leave a note.” uncle.”

Since then, dozens of people have commented on the post, with one person writing: “Police parking everywhere! We can’t see them, but they’re there, hiding with handwriting and brushes their bad.”

Another joked that Ramsbottom had become “Karen’s headquarters”.

Another said: “Rammy has changed.

“Back to the day when that piece of paper would be a human clod or a brick through your window.”
