Connacht’s Tietie Tiumauga will join French club Colomiers at the end of the season

Connacht prop master Tietie Tuimauga will join Colomiers when his short-term contract with the Western Province expires at the end of the season.

uimauga joined Connacht earlier this season as an injury guard but he will end his short stint at Galway by moving to France.

The 28-year-old Samoan international has signed a two-year deal with an option for a third with Colomiers, who currently sit sixth in the PRO D2 table.

Tuimauga has made 10 appearances for Connacht but has not traveled to South Africa as head coach Andy Friend has decided to keep departing players at home.

Meanwhile, former Ireland U-20 Grand Slam winner Charlie Ryan has signed his first professional contract with Leinster.

Despite some hints the 23-year-old could leave Leinster, Ryan is set to be promoted to the senior side next season.

Leo Cullen’s side is still pending suspension but is expected to continue in the coming months.

Another Ireland Under-20 graduate, Liam Turner, has also signed a senior contract with Leinster.

The center has played six games for Leinster, while Turner (22) has also played for the Ireland Sevens and for Trinity in the Energia All-Ireland League.
