Conor McGregor challenged his old friend Artem Lobov in a now-deleted Tweet.
The MMA fighter referred to Lobov as a “blanket” while saying he would fight him at 10:30pm last night at his Dublin gym.
The Notorious is being sued for millions of dollars by his old friend Lobov, who claims he came up with the idea for McGregor’s Proper Twelve whiskey brand before being pushed out. McGregor denied the claims.
“Going through the lawyer texting me about defamation and all these lawsuits and all,” McGregor spat in a tempered voice note.
“This is a call for Artem the f**** fairy pad Lobov.
“I challenge you tonight at 10:30pm. I will meet you at SBG Concorde and we will fight for it all.
“Got through lawyers texting me about defamation and all these lawsuits and all.
“You are a little blouse, mate. I will meet you SBG Concord tonight at 10:30pm and I will fight you till the end. Answer this damn call, little one.”
Lobov did not respond to McGregor, who deleted the message and instead posted a picture of himself wearing an Ireland jersey outside a gym in Dublin at 1:41am.
McGregor apologized for using homophobic language in 2017.
“I whispered in his ear and I talked about it and I said what I said,” he explained on The Late Late Show after he was caught using profanity. gay marketing backstage at UFC Gdansk.
“I don’t mean to disrespect anyone from the LGBT community. I don’t mean to be disrespectful, he said at the time.
Lobov (36), a longtime training partner of McGregor (34), says he was credited with developing a proper No 12 but was squeezed when the spirit took off.
He previously claimed that he was offered $1 million by McGregor (€970,000) but declined.
In response to the legal action initiated in the Supreme Court last week, McGregor shared a ten-second voice note in which he repeatedly chanted: “Artem is a rat, na na this na na!”
Last week, Lobov’s attorney Dermot McNamara confirmed that Supreme Court proceedings had begun.
He said Independence.ie: “My client is a retired professional boxer with a DCU master’s degree in Finance and Capital Markets. We have brought proceedings on his behalf in the Supreme Court to enforce an agreement with Mr. McGregor regarding the appropriate brand of No. 12 whiskey.
“My client was the first to invent and co-found the idea of launching an Irish whiskey brand associated with Mr. McGregor.
“As these matters are currently being brought before the court, we will not be making any further comment.”
