Conor McGregor posted an Instagram post claiming he has the “best ground and weight” in the UFC, but some fans disagree with him.

The post is the latest on social media from McGregor, who has been sidelined since breaking his front leg Dustin Poirier July last year.

The former two-weight world champion recently entered a debate with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and tweeted that he was ” horned “during the UFC 271 broadcast.

But in a lengthy post about his ground and pound accuracy, McGregor mocked the opponents he ended up with in the UFC.

“I have the best pitch and play the best in the game,” he wrote in the post. “My highest percentage of shots didn’t actually come from my side, as most people would assume.

“My highest percentage of finish wins actually comes from my vertical punch accuracy (you’re all new to uprights. Tall arm. Recommend blocking. it. Falling on his own body).

“I didn’t miss. I didn’t hit my arm. I didn’t fall. I hit the soft face, the head and the skull. That’s how you’ve seen people and I was completely chopped off.

“Looks like they’ve just been hit by a couple of golf balls off the tee of the training ground. Their skin is completely open. As for me, skin is like butter.”

Most of McGregor’s UFC wins come on the ground and balance after knocking out opponents with his signature left hand.

But his claims of having the “best ground and weight” have been disputed by some fans.

One user pointed out his outage for Khabib Nurmagomedov where McGregor received some heavy ground hits after being filed.

“Saying that but completely fooled by the man with the best pitch in the game,” the user wrote.

A second added: “Didn’t hurt? You broke your leg, while another user wrote:” Give your delusional mate it’s time to retire. “

And a fourth user criticized McGregor’s wrestling skills by writing: “The problem is you don’t have the wrestling skills to bring it to the ground, lol.”

McGregor had scheduled a return to full training in April and booked his next bout shortly after, with UFC 276 on July 2 being the likely date for a return.

The Irishman’s possible opponents – who have been without a win for more than two years – include Nate Diaz, Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.

Diaz and McGregor, McGregor’s other UFC rival, Dustin Poirier, both recently got into a fight with him when he made his octagon back.
