Conor McGregor in a weird late-night Twitter tease with arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov

Conor McGregor took to another online criticism of Khabib Nurmagomedov in a bizarre late-night tweet in which he claimed: “I smell poop.”

The Dubliners and Russians have recently engaged in a new round of exchange insults but Conor’s latest has left even his fans scratching their heads.

“Peek a boo number 2 or I smell poo,” he wrote, adding: “You are absolutely the bottler. Your skin will open its hand to slap you when you meet again.

“He’s not free yet. Free is being able to stay in the mountains of Dagestan with your family. Instead you are in a hotel room. My wife and children are alone at home. Wake up.”

The tweet accompanied a photo of the pair in the Octagon when McGregor was strangled by Nurmagomedov during their grudge battle in 2018.

He was denied a second shot when his opponent withdrew two years later. McGregor hasn’t competed in 16 months and has won only one of his last four fights in the cage.

The pair apparently have unfinished business with The Notorious in response to the Russian MMA star’s recent comments in which he appeared to mock McGregor during an event in Toronto.

Khabib spoke of the success of his fighting team, which includes UFC lightweight owner Islam Makhachev and Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov, when he mentioned the famous phrase “here to continue” manager” by McGregor.

“Right now we have the current UFC and Bellator lightweight champions. This is amazing,” he said.

“I heard a long time ago when a guy said ‘We’re here to take over.’ But we are here to take over.”

McGregor did not seem to appreciate the jest, taking to Twitter to criticize Khabib.

In a now-deleted tweet, he wrote: “I fight! Your father’s plan never works because you give up and run, brother. God help. I still stay here if you want to go again. But your fear of failure means you’ve already lost. Run from it all you want. In the end we all lose. Death takes us all away. I fear nothing but God.”

Nurmagomedov and McGregor previously fought at UFC 229 in a lightweight title fight in October 2018, where Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by submission in the fourth round.

McGregor has meanwhile hinted that he is exploring the possibility of buying Liverpool FC.

A report – earlier this month found that US-based owners at Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have created a sales floor and investment banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are assisting with the review process .

FSG is expected to demand a figure in excess of €4 billion to sell all of their stake in Liverpool, and that figure is beyond McGregor’s reach despite his success in the UFC and boxing. .

However, after hinting he would be interested in buying Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months, he tweeted that he wanted to explore the possibility of becoming part of a consortium that bought Liverpool.

“I WILL LOVE IT! I ask for my information on this, yes. As soon as I heard the news. What? A variety of events! What a club! @LFC,” he said in response to a tweet suggesting he buy the club. Conor McGregor in a weird late-night Twitter tease with arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov
