Conor McGregor was told he would be submitted by Islam Makhachev in the first round if they ever clash in the cage.
McGregor is currently struggling to return to the UFC lightweight title picture while recovering from a broken leg.
During his absence, Makhachev extended his unbeaten run to 10 fights with a first-round stoppage from Bobby Green.
McGregor took to social media yesterday to dismiss the hype surrounding Khabib Nurmagomedov’s protégé.
“I’m going to fight this piece of shit [sic] Makchavich, no sweat. Awkward g’n’p (ground and pound) the other night imo,” he wrote.

“Pathetic beating and then bottles off [Rafael dos Anjos] fight after watching his mouth lol. Awkward. Watch out when I come back. Same as before. Everyone. Any weight. Somewhere. Game full of shit stains.”
McGregor went on to deny Makhachev’s win over Green, claiming the American suffered no harm despite being knocked down and finished off.
“Fully mounted g’n’p and the guy doesn’t jump a scratch, hugs and kisses,” he wrote. “Speaking of thanks for the match etc. If that’s me then there’s still holes in their heads like they’ve been hit with a sock full of golf balls. I don’t even know where they are. Caramel butterskin strikes again!
“Am I the only one who sees this stuff for what it is or what is the madness? Not a scratch man. Awkward!
“I open the skin as if I were a scalpel. The sooner the better this leg fully heals and we can get the fuck right again! It comes 100 percent! My next scan is this Monday.”

But Makhachev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz immediately hit back at McGregor, telling him: “Makhachev will subdue you under a round, you don’t stand a chance.”
Makhachev faces another hurdle before he can fight for the 155lb title with UFC President Dana White in a bid to postpone his clash Beneil Dariush.
The Iranian was forced to pull out of the fight last weekend through injury but expects to be fit again by the summer.
The winner of this fight is expected to challenge champion Charles Oliveira’s title defense winner against Justin Gaethje on May 7th.
McGregor would then potentially consider a shot against the eventual winner if he can win himself after recovering from injury.
