Cork-based company Workvivo is raising €21m as it mulls a hiring frenzy

Cork-based employee engagement software company Workvivo has announced a new round of funding of €20.8 million.

This brings the total amount of the company founded by Joe Lennon and John Goulding to 36 million euros.

Workvivo says the new round, led by venture capital firm Tiger Global, triples in value but hasn’t provided a valuation. Local Irish VC firm Frontline is a previous investor, as is Zoom founder Eric Yuan and Enterprise Ireland.

The company is also thought to be considering a large hiring round of up to 200 employees, with new hubs in Dublin and London to complement its Cork headquarters. It currently employs around 100 people.

Workvivo counts giants like Amazon, Bupa and Telus International among its customers. It competes with Microsoft Viva, Facebook Workspaces and other employee portal services from tech giants. The platform service provides access to popular workplace tools such as Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and several popular HR, CRM, and productivity tools.

“We partner with some of the world’s largest organizations to help them foster world-class workplace cultures,” said CEO and co-founder John Goulding. “We are excited to announce this new round of funding, which will help propel the next step in our journey. People spend a large portion of their hours at work each week. Employee experience is critical for leaders as more than ever employees are burned out and disconnected from company culture.” Cork-based company Workvivo is raising €21m as it mulls a hiring frenzy
