Corrie spoilers tease the game is for murderer Gary Windass, as the discovery of a body seems to finally expose his crimes on the ITV soap
Coronation Street gets complicated next week, as one resident’s killer secret is threatened as the past comes back to haunt them.
A change in Weatherfield leads to the discovery of a body in the upcoming scenes, and a resident is forced to attempt to move the corpse before it is found.
It looks like killer Gary Windass (Mikey North) is out of luck as his plans are thwarted, and recent images of the cast filming at the location tease the body to be dug up.
In the new first images, teenager Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) is in tears as she appears to be attending the funeral and burial of her father Rick Neelan.
The killer’s body is set to be discovered in a construction site, years after he was murdered by Gary – who is now caring for young Kelly.
Gary killed loan shark in self-defense, when he was about to kill him and bury him in the woods.
The character fought for his life and eventually killed his enemies before burying him in a grave he was forced to dig himself.
Of course, the body was almost brought to light a year ago, so Gary was forced to move it to a new location – and that location is confirmed in scenes that will air on ITV next week.
He was horrified to find out from his partner Maria that the site in question would be home to the local football team and he made a risky decision.
Gary goes to the location and tries to break in and move the body, but is stopped by a security guard.
It looks like Gary wasn’t spotted at first, as he was spotted with Kelly at the funeral slated to air in a few weeks.
That said, revealers for next week show him confronting Laura, Kelly’s mother, who accuses him of killing Rick.
With his pressure, Gary may be forced to admit the truth – but will he gag Laura to keep her from spilling the pea if she finds out?
Either way, the long-running plot must come to an end at some point, when it’s known the real truth will be found.
This must be the beginning of the end for Gary, and his fate will certainly be set on ITV – but then again this is soapy ground!
