Coronation Street fans mistook a new character for an existing troublemaker on ITV on Wednesday, before realizing their mistake.
While some people don’t make mistakes, they can’t believe how similar two separate actors are.
Many people had to double down on comments when Sam Blakeman actor Jude Riordan joined his real-life brother in some scenes, he soon announced on his social media.
His sibling Zach played his young co-star Oscar on ITV, seemingly only once, for the episode.
But fans were stunned when they realized this, as some had thought it was an existing character from the show in the scene.
Many viewers mistook Oscar for David Platt’s teenage son Max Turner played by Paddy Bever and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One fan said: “I think it’s Max in a monday tbh,” as another wrote: “Why does Oscar look like Sam’s cousin Max?”
A third viewer added: “It’s great he looks like Max,” which was agreed by a fourth fan who tweeted: “He looks like him!”
It was after the episode that Sam’s actor Jude revealed all about his real-life brother who was guest-starring with him.
Sharing a shot in the soap, Jude posted on Twitter: “When bringing your Brother to work. Sam smashed Oscar out of the pub. BEST DAY so far @itvcorrie #bubblebrothers #samvoscar #corrie .”
It appeared to be a Covid-related decision, with Jude writing “bubble brothers” in the tweet – with siblings apparently in the same household.
Jude was delighted to be with Zach, posting pictures of them together on set on his Instagram Story, writing: “Show my brother the ropes.”

He also revealed that they are no stranger to facing each other in chess, telling one fan: “He plays irl a bit so we play together at home.”
Viewers took to Twitter the moment and Jude’s confession that he and the actor who played Oscar had a real-life relationship.
One fan said: “Good for you, nice to see Zach have a small part of your corrie experience.”
Another said: “Didn’t realize it was your real brother @JudeRiordan,” as a third said: “Wait…is that your brother?”
A fourth viewer commented: “wow so adorable!! I didn’t get the whole scene but found him looking a bit intense and not sure if he actually spoke at the end. Haha aww fab there is a scene. Let’s play Chess Rivals together!! Will have to watch it again on Catchup.”
The comments continued to come in, with a fifth viewer tweeting: “So glad Sam won you! Didn’t realize it was your brother how awesome that brought your brother to work” , and another added: “Wow, isn’t your brother cool in real life?”
