Coronation Street actress Georgia Taylor has confirmed a looming ITV appearance for Imran Habeeb, following reports earlier this year.
Actor Imran Charlie de Melo is said to have dropped out of the role after five years of filming, while that has never been officially confirmed by him and the show.
Amidst the suspense and death in the upcoming episodes, the Toyah Battersby star Georgia has now confirmed her “heartbreak” at her co-star’s decision to leave.
Toyah and Imran are now married and have been filming closely for the past few years – so it’s still uncertain when and how Imran will leave.

Imran is said to have finally revealed it all to her though about how he lied about Abi Franklin’s apparent drug addiction, in order to gain custody of their son Alfie.
Speaking to The Mirror and other press, the Georgia actress remained calm about the details but admitted she was devastated to see her friend go.
She said of his passing: “Heartbroken. I admire him so much. He was a dream, an absolute dream.

“We’ve been on the show together for three and a half years, but in the last year, since we finished all the work on Seb’s beta, we’ve been pretty busy and most of the work has been done. We’re all together and it’s just a pleasure.”
She continued: “He was so funny so we laughed a lot but honestly he was one of the most supportive people I’ve ever worked with and even now, we’re still in touch. apparently, he’s texting me, ‘How are you today? How are you?’
“He’s just a team player. And I mean look at him, there’s nothing to complain about there. He’s beautiful.
“He’s been amazing but I’m excited to see what he’s going to do next because I think the opportunities will be endless for him. He’s going to fly.”
According to reports in March by The Sun that the fan favorite has abandoned the role, with him since playing in the dark scenes.
The media claim that a source close to the soap actor has said that although Charlie has “loved his time on the soap”, he believes now is “the right time to be” try new things.”
A source said: “Charlie loves his time on the soap but it’s time to try new things. He’s incredibly talented and very ambitious and wants to see what else is there.
“He will always cherish his time at Weatherfield but for now it’s goodbye.”
