Coronation Street’s George reveals true health diagnosis after secret is exposed

Corrie revealers confirm George Shuttleworth hid a secret health diagnosis from Eileen Grimshaw on ITV soap

Coronation Street’s George Shuttleworth has another confession to his partner Eileen Grimshaw next week, as he reveals the results of his health diagnosis.

Corrie’s character has recently raised suspicions he’s up to something, after his odd behavior and refusal to stay at Eileen’s house overnight.

So when he confirmed it was because he was a loud snore, Eileen and viewers were a bit confused.

Eileen was stunned and told him, “I’m married to a serial killer, I can live with a little snoring.”

“No, you can’t. I think it’s best if we just leave it at that,” he added, but she insisted: “It’s your stay. Neighbors can think what they want. I I’ll find a way to help, I promise.”

Scenes that will air this week on ITV reveal another rumour, as Eileen thinks his stay has gone better than expected.

He admitted that they stayed up all night to not snore and keep his partner awake.

But the new reveal for next week reveals even more to the plot and a health diagnosis that he has yet to tell anyone.

George tells Eileen he has sleep apnea and shows her the mask provided by the doctor.

According to the NHS website, “Sleep apnea is when your breathing stops and starts while you sleep. The most common type is known as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).”

Viewers were hoping for a bigger or much darker secret for the character when the snoring incident was revealed, and they took to Twitter last week to share their disappointment.

One viewer tweeted: “What a lame storyline… of all the things George can hide it’s none other than his snoring!! Come on #corrie is the best you can possibly be!! do?”

The second agreed: “George’s secret is snoring. Nicky’s secret is better”, the third added: “I know this is supposed to be funny but it’s simply boring!”

Another fan wrote: “Snoring! What’s George’s dark secret? What a disappointment”.
