Coronation Street’s Joseph Aston becomes dad as he welcomes baby girl with partner

A former Coronation Street actor has become a father for the first time. Joseph Aston and his partner have welcomed a healthy baby girl, and revealed the sweet name they’ve given her

Joseph Aston of Coronation Street is now a proud dad with a beautiful daughter.

Joseph and partner Roxanne welcomed their first daughter Tilly Wren Aston on April 26 last month.

Some TV fans may recognize Joe from a very popular soap, and some may think he looks like a very popular soap star (hint: he has a famous siblings).

The new dad starred in Coronation Street in 2000 when he played Jack and Vera’s grandson Tommy Duckworth on the ITV soap opera.

20 years since his soap making, the actor has established a family of his own.

His partner Roxanne took to Instagram to announce the news and did so by sharing a sweet snapshot of Joseph with his daughter.

She wrote: “Tilly Wren Aston. Born April 26, 2022 at 2:59 pm, weight 7 pounds 13 oz.

“Welcome to the beautiful girl outside.

“10 days old already #hellotilly #4thtrimester.”

The couple’s friends were quick to comment on the good news with many flocking to the comments section to leave sweet messages.

One person wrote: “Tilly is so beautiful, congratulations, both of you xxx.”

Another added: “Congratulations to all of you she’s gorgeous.”

While a third said: “Congratulations. What a beautiful name. Hope you all are doing well! Xx.”

She also included a snap of herself with Tilly sleeping on her chest.

Joseph rose to fame when he was a young boy starring in Corrie as Tommy Duckworth.

While in the soap, he got caught up in a bitter custody battle with his grandparents, following the heartbreaking death of his mother, Lisa.

Joseph’s stint on the soap was rather brief, but he has gone on to star in medical dramas such as BBC’s Casualty and ITV’s Where the Heart Is.

Then he said goodbye gently to focus on his studies.

According to his Instagram page, he is a keen gardener – which is a far cry from his brother’s career path, in fact very similar to around Joseph’s early career in the acting world. .

His brother Sam Aston plays cheeky chappy and father of the year Chesney Brown – and has since 2003.

And the family links with Corrie don’t end here! Joseph and Sam’s sibling Emily – also appeared in Coronation Street as the character Rebecca Palmer in 51 episodes from 1996 to 1997.

And even though his siblings didn’t stay on the series – Sam has proven to be a popular actor since he joined in 2003.
