Coronation Road: Tyrone tells Fiz he and Alina are engaged

Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall has teased Alina Pop could make a spectacular return to the pebbles – but not yet.

Tyrone Dobbs has struggled with Fiz Stape’s new relationship with Phill, after he initially broke up with Fiz when he fell in love with Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) and the pair decided to let it go.

After a while, Alina decided to leave Cobbles for good – but there have been suggestions that she may have been pregnant with Tyrone’s child when she decided to move back to her native Romania.

Now, Alan – who plays Tyrone – does not rule out the possibility that one day his co-star will return.

Speaking of the possibility, he said: “Well, that’s obviously a very clever thing the screenwriters did there, getting Alina to go that way, and of course it leads to a future storyline. Right now, I think Tyrone’s thinking is all about Fiz.

“No matter what comes knocking on his door, it’s all about Fiz.”

While he says there are no immediate plans for Alina to return to Weatherfield, he thinks it would make for a “great storyline” if she did.

“For me as an actor, that would be a great plot. Is it too soon? Maybe it is,” he explained.

“Perhaps it could have been something a little further on, but even though it’s been quite a few years and it’s showing under my eyes and over my head, I’m still thrilled every day to go to work and just be. part. these stories with these brilliant people. So yeah, if it’s a future story, I’ll try to tackle it as best I can.”

For now, Tyrone is clearly still very sweet to her ex Fiz and is trying to support her amid a hiccup with her current man Phill.

And his co-star Jennie McAlpine doesn’t rule out the possibility that one day Tyrone and Fiz will finally find each other again.

“It would be great for her if there was a white wedding. Fiz would come back to Ty if she could forgive his love affair with Alina,” she said, as her co-star Alan added: “I think that Coronation Street has – above all other shows as far as I’m concerned – is history.
