Coronation Road: Adam’s miraculous recovery when he left the hospital
Coronation Street fans were quite divided, with many annoyed, until the end of a plot on ITV channel on Wednesday.
Lydia Chambers left the show, as she “called a truce” with her ex Adam Barlow after vowing to destroy his life.
The pair had a succession of scenes when she pushed him off the balcony, leaving him to fight for his life.
Before that, Lydia had staged him a fake affair and harassment accusations, providing evidence in his apartment to make him appear guilty.
After weeks of torment and Adam hitting rock bottom, he nearly lost his life in a deadly fall Monday night.

But despite all of this, Adam forgave Lydia at the end of Wednesday’s episode, and the pair called a truce – after Lydia explained about their past.
Lydia confirmed that when they were dating, he cheated on her numerous times, while he also got her pregnant before telling her to have an abortion.
She blames him for her life falling apart after that, and decides to take revenge.

Adam lied to police that he slipped and fell off the balcony, insisting Lydia was innocent, while he also denied allegations of abuse.
This meant Lydia was free to go and she left Weatherfield for a fresh start, what some viewers called a “nonsense” way to end the plot after so much drama.
Many commented that she should have been in trouble for everything she had done, and they couldn’t understand why Adam would allow her to let it all go.

On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Truce? Are you kidding me? Literally the most pointless plot!”
Another said: “Lydia…it?” as a third person tweeted: “So…is that with the Lydia storyline? Well, that sucks.”
A fan Wednesday commented: “They call armistice? That’s it.”
The comments also continued to appear, with another post: “Also wtf is this Lydia plot…… so she came, told a pack of lies then walked away???”

A Friday viewer tweeted: “Unsatisfied with this ending, a writer had to go on vacation. All that builds and explodes everything is forgiven and forgotten. Waste of what should have been. maybe there’s a good plot going.”
Other viewers were happy to see the plot come to an end, with one line reading: “Glad Lydia is coming clean with Sarah.”
Another said: “So happy adam and sarah finally have a happy ending and see you again Lydia.”
A third person tweeted: “Nice ending to a plot that didn’t go well, thought the actress played Lydia very well although unfortunately she didn’t get a better plot.”
The soap recently confirmed the end of the plot would air this month, and resulted in Lydia’s departure from the show.
