Coronation Street’s Gary Windass appeared to get away with murder again on ITV on Friday, as Rick Neelan’s body was finally recovered.
Villain Rick went missing three years ago along with Gary as the last person to see him alive – while viewers, and some residents, learn that he actually killed him and buried him. in the forest.
It was self-defense and Gary was the one intent on dying, with Rick also wanting to kill his then-girlfriend Sarah Platt and her children.
Rick took him into the woods to kill him and bury his body there, but Gary freed himself and killed Rick first.

Since committing the crime in 2019, Gary has evaded this and the factory roof collapse he caused, which claimed the life of Rana Habeeb.
While suspicion fell on him several times over both crimes, Gary managed to keep everyone quiet and escape the prison.
Along the way, he’s faced with potentially arresting moments, with having to move his body, finding a way to hide what he’s done.

But it all came to an end Friday night when Laura Neelan learned the truth about what had happened to her husband, and daughter Kelly’s father.
In a shocking move, Gary admitted the crime to Laura and shouted: “Okay, you want the truth, I killed him”.
Gary begs her to let him talk to his partner Maria before she calls the police and she agrees, determining that he must face justice.

But as Gary was about to tell Kelly what he had done, the trio returned to the apartment to talk to Laura only to find the police outside.
When Kelly asked the officer what they were doing, he explained that they had arrested her for the murder of her father, Rick.
Laura is then brought into the back of a police car after she takes one last look at a bewildered Gary, who realizes that she is responsible for his crimes.

Now, some viewers believe that Laura will admit fault and then sadly pass away, with a terminal illness.
While some predict guilt may come his way, others react to the fact that Gary may be about to get away with murder again three years after the plot begins.
Many say that’s not exactly justice, but many have been impressed with the change.
One fan said on Twitter: “Tired of soap killers either killing killers or dying before they’re brought to justice.”
Another agreed: “OMG can’t believe Gary is actually going with FFS again.”
A third fan wrote: “Corrie never saw that coming, so Gary basically gets away with murder, literally.”
Meanwhile another fan said: “So… no support for Gary causing the roof of the Underworld to fall after that?”
