Corrie spoilers: Fiz is distraught when she learns Phill’s secret over shocking marriage proposal

ITV viewers watched as Corrie favorite Fiz Stape found love again with newcomer Phill Whittaker after Tyrone Dobbs broke her heart

Coronation Street will see dramatic scenes unfold between Fiz Stape and new boyfriend Phill Whittaker as well as Tyrone Dobbs next week.

This comes after the ITV drama hinted that Fiz’s new man Phill, played by Jamie McKenna, might not be all he seems.

Fiz, played by Jennie McAlpine, has recently moved away from the cobblestones and is in love with Phill, hoping for a fresh start following her messy breakup with Tyrone Dobbs.

But this week on the soap will see Tyrone suspicious of Phill after spending time with Hope and Ruby.

He discovers Phill behaving suspiciously in Victoria Gardens, delivering a large envelope to a mysterious man – despite telling Fiz he will be in Leeds for the day.

The series continues the following week, as ITV revealers reveal that Tyrone is still suspicious of Phill and what he’s up to and when his daughter Fiz Hope borrows Phill’s laptop, she’s the revealer reveal the truth about what he is doing.

In true Hope style, she takes revenge on her own brand and lets the mini excavator rip through the driveway, swinging the digger’s arm around and smashing the windshield on Phill’s car.

While ITV revealers have yet to reveal Fiz’s reaction to the film, on Wednesday she was trying to move out with Phill, showing that the secret has been revealed before her very eyes.

The plot begins on May 25, when Tyrone calls Phill’s house to get Fiz’s stuff, hoping this means they’ll be reunited.

However, an argument ensued and as Tyrone clung to Phill, they lost their balance and tumbled into the wet cement on the field.

As Phill scours the wet concrete, he reveals he’s lost an engagement ring – and Tyrone finds the ring.

Phill pulls out the ring and asks Fiz to marry him. As Tyrone waited on the wing, did Fiz give Phill another chance or did she get her eyes opened?

Speaking earlier this year, Corrie producer Iain MacLeod teased: “Sometimes we cast doubt on the audience’s motives for Phill. I’m not going to spoil the outcome of all that, but Fiz will be in a huge dilemma about where her future lies.

“I think I know what Fiz’s happy ending looks like, but it’s going to be a long, brilliant and complicated story for both of them.

“Once you’ve been hurt and humiliated like Fiz, even if you find yourself wanting your ex back, is it that easy? Will your pride and family be left behind? for you?”
