Coronation Street’s Emma Brooker is set to leave the cobblestones after actress Alexandra Mardell announced she’s dropped out of the movie and her exit plot has now been confirmed.
Emma and Faye (Ellie Leach) have had to live with the guilty secret that they knocked out pensioner Ted on New Year’s Eve, just before he died in his apartment.
The pair have so far managed to keep a secret in the ring, with Craig (Colson Smith) helping to conceal evidence and even leaving the police force as a result of the incident.
But Emma has begun a secret relationship with Ted’s nephew Jon Spear, putting her in danger of being exposed.
While Emma and Jon’s romance has blossomed, ITV revealers have revealed that it will all be revealed in dramatic scenes before Emma leaves Weatherfield.
Filming begins on Monday, April 14, as Emma considers a big move as Jon shares his plans to open a beach bar in Australia.
Emma is stunned to realize she’s visited the same beach as a child, only when Jon suggests she move to Australia with him.
Gobsmacked Emma promises her she’ll think about it and then doesn’t say a word to Craig and Faye when they get home.
But when Jon returned to the apartment and left his phone, it seemed the cat was out of his pocket as Faye looked at him in amazement.
Will Jon and Craig recognize each other after he is the cop who arrives at the scene at Ted’s apartment after his death?
The story continues on Wednesday, April 6, as Craig excitedly begins his first day back into the police force after a stint on the run.
Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Emma and Faye are given their daggers when Jon arrives unexpectedly.
Jon demands answers and a dazed Faye says they are responsible for their grandfather’s death – could this be the end for Faye and Emma?
A pale Faye comes out of the bathroom and tells the stunned Emma that she thinks she’s about to lose her baby.
She’s rushed to the hospital, as she awaits scan results alongside an anxious Craig – only to be shocked by what they’re told.
ITV revelations reveal that on Friday, April 8 Emma leaves Weatherfield – but will she leave amid a happy ending or is her escape from the law?
Dang Quang Street broadcasts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 pm on ITV channel.
