Corrie’s Abi’s plan to split Toyah and Imran backfires amid ‘secret revenge’
Coronation Street spoilers confirm Abi didn’t manage to stop the wedding from happening – amid fan speculation that Toyah is actually playing Imran on the ITV soap
Coronation Street’s Abi Franklin faces the wrath of Imran Habeeb next week on ITV, amid their bitter custody battle.
Imran is trying to gain full custody of their son Alfie and prevent Abi from reaching, after mistakenly believing she has turned back to drugs.
He’s been playing dirty with tactics to show Abi is an unsuitable mother, and next week Abi makes a desperate decision.
Toyah seems to have forgiven Imran for cheating on her with Abi and getting her pregnant, and is now rushing through with their wedding.
Next week is the big day, and Abi does everything to prevent Toyah from marrying him while he is planning to marry Alfie.
As Imran was waiting for his bride with a small group of wedding guests, Abi hijacked the wedding car just as Toyah entered.
Driving away, Abi tries to convince Toyah to call off the wedding and begs her to see that she’s making a mistake.
Abi eventually dropped Toyah down to the hotel, and the bride entered before proceeding with the ceremony.
As the wedding party rushes to Rovers, Imran confronts Abi on the street and insists she’s an unsuitable mother.
So will Toyah soon regret her decision to marry Imran, and what does that mean for Abi?
It comes as viewers speculate that there might be more to Toyah to forgive Imran, with a secret revenge plan possibly unfolding.
One fan theory is that Toyah could actually help Abi regain custody of baby Alfie – and is just pretending to get back with Imran.
“Literally praying for a change that Toyah is playing Imran and will avenge her by helping Abi gain custody of Alfie,” one viewer wrote on Twitter.
Another said: “I REALLY, REALLY hope that Toyah will play Imran as a good friend and pretend to be on his side to make sure Abi gets the sole custody of Alfie… Doubles if Abi also joins.”
Toyah is definitely playing Imran like a game. Cheer up girl,” a third added.
While a fourth fan was more skeptical about the plot, saying: “I still don’t believe Toyah will forgive Imran that easily. I will never forgive someone who cheated on me.”
What we do know is that Charlie De Melo, who plays lawyer Imran, will be leaving the soap at the end of the year.
But the plot of his escape is yet to be revealed, so will he win custody of baby Alfie?
