Coronation Street: Lydia threatens Adam in the street

Coronation Street’s Adam Barlow will bottom next week, as Lydia Chambers continues to ruin her life on ITV soap.

Corrie’s new vandals reveal that after sabotaging his marriage, getting him into trouble with the police, and vowing to ruin his life, Lydia targeted his work.

Recent scenes show Lydia finally confessing to her ex Adam that she’s been targeting him, and next week she will.

According to Adam, the couple briefly dated while they were in college together a decade ago.

But Lydia hinted that their relationship was much more than that, and that they were more serious than Adam recalled.

Lydia also mostly alludes to something dark happening during or after their affair, as she talks about him “messing up her life”.

She tells him that he “takes her to pieces” and vows to do the same to him, while telling his wife Sarah that “she is free” after their separation.

Against that backdrop, Adam is struggling to prove his innocence, and now the police are investigating his case following an incident at Lydia’s apartment.

After going there to sort things out for the upcoming scenes, Lydia rummaged through the place and pinned Adam – calling the police in the meantime.

He no longer has to try to convince them that Lydia did it herself and that he has no way of threatening her, and he is soon questioned about the ongoing drama.

Next week, he’s taking time to recount the harassment and other moments he’s been framed, from credit card transactions to texts from a secret phone.

Meanwhile, Lydia is too busy trying to maintain her story to care when she tells Sarah about how Adam apparently raped him and dumped the place.

Sarah is horrified, and she seems to still trust her husband despite his objections.

Whether Adam can convince the police that he is innocent of the latest crime remains to be seen, but he will soon face new horrors.

Adam explains the whole situation to his colleague and friend Imran Habeeb, but a major client soon decides to move their business elsewhere after seeing recent comments mislead him with as a lawyer.

The damning online reviews put Imran in a difficult situation, which only got worse when Adam found out he had been reported to the Adultery Regulatory Authority.

Realizing that he could get fired and lose his job instead of everything else, he decided to resign from the company until things were settled.

However, this may not be the case, as while he is trying to erase his evil name, Lydia tells him that she is not finished with him yet.

So what else does she have, and will Adam find a way to prove what she’s doing?
