Coronation Street will arrange some unsettling scenes for fan-favorite Tim Metcalfe on ITV next week.

The character ignores an important health warning, leading to a collapse from shock.

An ambulance was called when his wife Sally Metcalfe panicked about his condition, as the character fell ill while they were intimate – having taken some pills.

The character has been suffering from impotence, ever since a major health crisis a few weeks ago forced him to have life-saving surgery.

Tim underwent a triple heart bypass after being diagnosed with heart disease, having suffered a heart attack earlier this year.

In that context, Tim was embarrassed after struggling with impotence, and Sally wanted to get to the bottom of his problem in the bedroom.

He lies to his wife in the upcoming scenes that he is going to see a doctor, but instead he decides to buy some erectile dysfunction tablets from the internet.

Tim completely ignored warnings about his heart condition, despite knowing how serious his condition was.

So when he grabs the tablet and gets intimate with Sally on their romantic trip, he’s forced to admit the truth to her when he becomes breathless.

With his heart pounding and feeling short of breath and unwell, he told her what he had done and she was horrified.

In a panic, she calls an ambulance but is Tim all right?

It seems that over the weekend, a misunderstanding led to a squabble with Ronnie Bailey.

When Tim hears Ronnie tell Sally he’s sorry her romantic getaway has failed like that, he comes to the wrong conclusion.

Tim punches Ronnie in the face, but how will he react?
