Asda has limited the number of products a customer can purchase from Asda Essentials range only.
That series was launched earlier this year aiming to help customers keep the cost of their weekly grocery shopping down amid the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
Asda said so Essentials range only is the “largest budget-friendly range ever” that includes groceries, toiletries and household items.
Now the range has proved so popular that the supermarket has had to limit the number of items customers can buy to keep up with demand.

Asda limits purchases to Just Essentials range
Asda customers are limited to a maximum of three of each product for now.
However, the total number of products purchased is not limited the range.
The supermarket hopes that by introducing a temporary limit it can protect availability for the majority of customers while it works hard to get the out-of-stock products back on the shelves as soon as possible.
An Asda spokesman said: “Just Essentials is very popular at the moment and we are working hard to get the out of stock products back on shelves as soon as possible.
“To ensure that as many customers as possible can purchase these products, we are temporarily limiting purchases to a maximum of three of each product.
“This will only be for a short time and we will let you know as soon as these restrictions are lifted. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
