A secret hack for joining Costco has been revealed, allowing any shopper to gain access to the budget-friendly wholesaler.
Costco offers membership to current and retired employees in select groups and occupations.
But the revelation means anyone looking to grab a bargain at the checkout can save themselves a hefty membership fee by using perks they already have.
Channel 5 explained how regular shoppers can bypass normal membership criteria and get more for less amid the cost of living crisis.
The show attempted to confirm or dispel rumors that people with either AA or RAC breakdown protection can also become full Costco members for the regular £33.60 fee.
Others can reportedly get access to the club if they have a National Trust membership or an American Express credit card, reports Liverpool echo.

Channel 5 producers called one of Costco’s 29 UK stores to inquire about membership and were told by a customer service representative that all of the above rumors were true.
This was later confirmed by three other Costco stores, but the remaining 25 warehouses did not respond.
With the cost-of-living crisis stretching many people’s finances to the limit, more shoppers are looking for ways to further increase their cash.
Buying in bulk from wholesalers like Costco is an easy way to make valuable savings.
Costco’s 29 UK warehouses are spread across the UK alongside other well-known cash and carry companies such as Booker and Marco.
The store was the subject of the Channel 5 show ‘Costco – Is It Really Worth It?’ which aired at 8pm on Wednesday.
Heavily discounted bulk purchases include 1,100 tea bags for just £11, a 1.5 liter bottle of Prosecco for £20 and a jumbo pack of toilet paper for a few pounds.

Costco was described as a “mysterious, very private club” on the Channel 5 show.
Membership is typically reserved for retailers and businesses such as small grocery and corner shops, restaurants, and takeaways.
Costco members are also open to those who are working or have retired from certain jobs.
This includes public sector workers such as NHS doctors, ambulance services and local government.
