Helen Skelton announced in an Instagram message Monday night that her marriage to Richie Myler is over

Helen Skelton has split from husband Richie Myler.

The 38-year-old Countryfile moderator announced this on Instagram on Monday evening.

The news comes just months after the couple welcomed their third child together.

In her post, which she shared to her Stories on Black Background, she wrote: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He left the family home. We will do our best to raise our little children together. “

She ended the emotional message with two heartbroken emojis.

Helen married English rugby star Richie in 2013. They have three children together, Ernie, six, Louis, five, and Elsie Kate, four months old.

The latest news came just hours after Helen shared a lengthy message about some of the struggles of motherhood.

She took to her stories again to share the post, which read: “A mother is always full of emotions. Full of love.

“Full of fear and worry. Full of exhaustion and lack of energy. Full of mother’s guilt and doubts. Full of pride in her children. Full of pure joy.

“She feels everything, that’s the beauty of her, she carries everything too.

“Yet she gets up every day and does it all over again.”

Just last week, Helen posted snaps looking happy on holiday.

She shared the pictures of her amazing looks just months after giving birth to the couple’s newest arrival.

She also shared pictures of her messing around with her kids on what appears to be a happy family holiday, although Richie was not in the pictures.

Helen donned a skimpy black swimsuit and chunky black sunglasses while having her blonde locks pulled back into a ponytail and her followers were quick to heap praise on her.

On New Year’s Eve, she announced the birth of her third child.

Shortly after, she revealed the emotional reason behind the tot’s name.

Speak with Hi! magazineHelen revealed that she gave birth to her third child on December 28th.

And she explained: “We always wanted Kate as a middle name after my cousin who sadly passed away when we were in our 20s.

“I was very close to her, she was a scientist and she was super cool.”

The boy was also the tallest of the star’s brood, weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces at birth.
