MATT Baker was left blushing on Countryfile over the weekend after a report on vegans took a rather embarrassing turn.
The presenter was amazed at the activities he was asked to participate in as the latest episode wrapped on Sunday night.
He joined Jenny Connor to learn more about how she has managed to restore the landscape and enhance the wildlife in the area.
She took Matt on a tour of her 24 acres at Dalton Moor farm, provided him with vegan honey and invited him to join her orchard rowing.
Unfortunately for the Countryfile host, he seemed a bit embarrassed by what he was asked to do.
When he first arrived, Matt learned about the fruit hedges planted to attract wildlife and also to be harvested.
Jenny is using fruit to make vegan honey that Matt was invited to make and taste.
Using the berries, which are mildly toxic when eaten raw, they boiled a concoction that was said to taste like real honey.
Viewers then see Matt and Jenny walk around the orchard banging on drums before drinking the non-alcoholic cider they shared with the tree.
When his time with Jenny comes to an end, he takes off his leafy wreath and laughs at what he’s done.
“It was fun, I just hope none of my friends are watching,” Matt sighed before dashing off.
Countryfile is available for viewing on BBC iPlayer.
