Craig Doyle has said that the This Morning showcase is a “complete roller coaster,” after hosting several of the show’s summer shows.
The 51-year-old Irish radio and television presenter recently presented This Morning while the show’s familiar hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, were on summer break.
Speaking about the experience on the daytime ITV show, he told PA news agency: “It’s always changing, isn’t it?
“You revolve around the topic, the emotions, from happy to sad, happy to serious.
“There is no other program like it.
“It’s a complete roller coaster game.”
Doyle presented This Morning for the first time earlier this year, alongside one of the show’s familiar faces, Alison Hammond.
He revealed that Hammond had been “generous” while the pair worked together and helped Doyle get to grips with hosting the show.
He said: “It was really good, I really liked her, it felt so natural to me, great positive energy from her.
“She just rolled with it all.
“I really don’t know what I’m doing and I think she’s very generous, which is really important.

“When co-presenting, you need someone who will be generous with you, especially when you don’t know what you’re doing!
“I had never done the show before and I was so nervous for the first time so she held my hand and I enjoyed her companionship.”
After presenting this Morning for the second time, Dublin-born Doyle told PA: “I got to know it better, about its quirks.
“But it’s hard to prepare because you don’t know what’s coming your way.
“So maybe it shouldn’t be over-prepared as I’ve learned from it, just keep my ears open and listen to everyone we talk to because it’s an expert on the subject. something or a viewer is talking about something that has impacted their life, for which they are an expert.
“So I think using your ears is probably a very important part of presenting the show.”
He added: “I like that viewers call in because you really don’t know what’s going to happen.
“They don’t worry about the television profession so there is a lack of awareness, which is quite nice, an honesty to them.
“Some of them are just funny, some of them say things you shouldn’t say on TV and it’s really funny and it’s great because it’s so natural… I think maybe, core, negative the point of this show, just from watching it over the years, maybe the relationship with the viewer, that’s the key factor. “
Doyle, who was present with Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Josie Gibson, also revealed that he believes the mix of presenters on the show is crucial to its success.
“I think that sofa must be very suitable for people at home,” he said.
“And that’s why you need a mix of people on it.
“And that is why we also have so many experts.
“I don’t know if you guys watch Modern Family, in our house is one of our favorite shows.
“We all relate to the characters on the show, right?
“And I think there needs to be an element of that with This Morning.
“So maybe you need a sassy guy like me, and then a cool, world-aware person like Alison.
“I think balance is important.
“Something for everyone and all.”
