Crash on Dublin’s M50: Long delays for southbound traffic near Firhouse

There are lengthy delays on the southbound M50 this morning following an earlier collision which blocked two lanes near junction 12 Firhouse.

Emergency services are at the scene of the collision, which took place between the Tallaght exit 11 and the Firhouse exit. Traffic is currently restricted in one lane, with the middle and outer lanes affected.

Dublin Fire Brigade said: “The road should be cleared soon.”

Separately, there was a breakdown on the M50 between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght.

Traffic is heavy on much of the southbound M50. Motorists have been warned of expected delays between Junction 3 Santry and Junction 14 Sandyford. It currently takes drivers over 30 minutes to get from Exit 9 Red Cow to Exit 11 Balrathory.

Traffic on the southbound Dublin Tunnel is also “extremely heavy”.

According to TII, traffic is also building up on the eastbound M7 between Junction 9 Naas and the M50.

Delays are also forming on the eastbound M4 between Junction 8 Kilcock and Junction 3 Lucan. Crash on Dublin’s M50: Long delays for southbound traffic near Firhouse
