Crawley man charged after cannabis and guns were seized

A MAN has been arrested and charged with drug-related offenses after cannabis and weapons were seized during a house search.

Fernandes, 20, of Foxglove Walk in Crawley, has been accused of involvement in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession of cannabis and possession of an assault weapon at a private location between March 6 and August 18 be.

On August 18, a search warrant was carried out at an address in Crawley by officers as part of a joint operation by Sussex Police and the Metropolitan Police.

Fernandes appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on August 19, where he was released on conditional bail to appear at Lewes Crown Court on September 16.

Detective Inspector Alan Pack of the West Sussex Community Investigation Team said: “We are committed to stopping the production, supply and distribution of harmful drugs in our community.

“This investigation is another example of working together with the Met to crack down on the county’s drug lines and protect our communities.”
