CRISTIANO RONALDO has told Manchester United’s young stars ‘if you don’t want my advice, sort things out yourself’.
The 36-year-old superstar became frustrated with United’s performances since his return to the club.
And he clearly believes that a lot of players can’t handle being told by him what they’re doing wrong.
Ronaldo said: “I remember when I was 18, some older players talked to me and I saw it as something to improve, they knew more than me because they had a lot of worse moments.
“This new generation generally doesn’t accept that if you criticize them. I have children that I know. They do the opposite.
“If you don’t want my help and my advice, look at yourself. Try your best to help the team. ”
In an explosive interview with Sky Sports News, Ronaldo went on to question the mentality of current players as they try to rescue a season under new boss Ralf Rangnick that is threatening to explode.
“We have to have the right mentality,” Ronaldo said. You have to be ready when you get stuck in a game, they call this club Manchester United, so we have to be United.

“The system is only useful if you have the right mentality on the pitch
“We have a long way to go to improve. For me, the most important thing is to look at yourself and say you can do it better.
“I don’t accept that our mentality is worse than finishing in the top three in the Premier League, in my opinion.
“I think in order to build good things, you need to destroy some things.
“It’s a new year, a new life and I hope that Manchester United can reach the level people want because the fans deserve it.”
Ronaldo clearly wants to talk more about What’s going on at United? but restrained.
“We have the power to change everything now,” he said.
If you don’t want my help and my advice, look at yourself. Try your best to help the team.
“I don’t know the specific way because I play not as a coach or as a president.
“I know sugar but as you know, I won’t mention it here because I say it’s unethical.”
There have been question marks about whether Ronaldo has stay at the club after this season.
He admits he doesn’t want to be at a club that doesn’t compete for top honors.
He said: “Manchester United belongs to the important things so we have to change.
“I don’t want to be here in a club fighting for sixth or seventh or fifth place.
“I am here to try to win, to compete. I think we are competitive but we are not at our best yet.
“But we have a long way to go to improve and I believe that if we change our minds, we can achieve great things.”
‘HE NEED TIME’
Rangnick only lost one game out of the seven he was in charge of since taking control at United and Ronaldo believes he needs more time before being judged.
Ronaldo said: “He has changed many things, but he needs time to get his ideas through the players and on the pitch, it takes time, but I believe he will do his job well. me.
“We know it will take time to come up with a new coach’s ideas on the pitch.
“It’s not too fast but going forward we have to be professional, work hard and stick together as players.
“It is not easy to change the mentality of the players and the system and culture like that, so I believe he will do his job well.
“I still believe we are capable of a good season.
“Since he arrived, I think at some point we are better but like I said before, he needs time.”
