Cristiano Ronaldo sent a message to UFC star Khamzat Chimaev telling him to “flirt with people” before his planned April return.
Chimaev made a huge impact in promotion, earning critical acclaim for his performance after four appearances on the octagon.
The rising star is planning to continue gaining weight this year and will face Gilbert Burns in a proposed match in April.
The Swede revealed that he had received a reply from Ronaldo on social media after contacting him but that the Portuguese star would not be able to attend the match.
“When [Ronaldo] started following me, I wrote to him, he was a champion. “Chimaev said.” Then he wrote ‘Smesh everyone’. 100% bro.

“Then I invited him to join my fight. I’m not a huge fan of football, but this guy is huge. One of the best boys in the world in terms of football. He is. is a good guy.
“He’s got a game that’s why he said he couldn’t come. But he will watch my fight. ”
Ronaldo has had a hard time in recent weeks after his return Manchester United went sour, didn’t score in 2022 until he scored in the net Brighton recently, but it’s still his only goal since the start of the year.
He is often cited as an inspiration to many athletes and is a popular UFC fan who regularly chats with retired star Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Chimaev enjoyed a huge rise in the sport, quickly making it 3-0 before his progress was stifled by a tough fight with Coronavirus.
However, the 27-year-old returned last October to beat Li Jingliang with a stunning opening goal.
Next up for the rising star could be a giant leap when facing 2nd place contender Gilbert Burns in a bumper showdown on April 4.

The pair have verbally agreed to the duel on social media with official talks also taking place to begin the duel.
This could set up a potential championship shot against Kamaru Usman in the future as the Nigerian returns from injury and faces Leon Edwards.
UFC star Darren Till believes Chimaev is good enough to compete with Usman and has also backed him to challenge Israel Adesanya.
“If Khamzat gets a hold of Adesanya, Adesanya will have a really hard night. He is very strong. As I told you, the most impressive thing was his physical condition,” he said Frontkick.online.
“He doesn’t get tired. Once he grabs you, he won’t stop. So can you imagine having a guy like that in five innings? It’s very difficult.
“First Khamzat has to win the welterweight title, I believe he can. He had some tough competitions, I trained with Leon. [Edwards] is a super tough guy, very technical. “
“Usman, Colby and some of these guys. I think it’s like middleweight, it’s wide open. All these guys are very good.”
