Billionaire media baron Rupert Murdoch angered critics with part of his announcement that he would step down as chairman of Fox Corp and News Corp.
In a memo to colleagues on Thursday, Murdoch railed against so-called “elites” who he claimed had “open contempt for those who do not belong to their particular class.”
“Most media outlets are in cahoots with these elites and spread political narratives instead of pursuing the truth,” he added.
