The father of a schoolgirl who was killed trying to call for help during the Texas school massacre broke down and sobbed, “How do you look at that girl and shoot her?”

Amerie Jo Garza, 10, was among 19 children butchered by 18-year-old Salvador Ramos during a 90-minute rampage that ended when he was shot dead.

Her father, Angel Garza, discovered that Amerie had died from her best friend, who was coming home from school covered in blood.

He said: “She was just trying to call the authorities and I think he just shot her. How do you look at this girl and shoot her? oh my baby how you shoot my baby

“I just want people to know that she died trying to save her classmates. She just wanted to save everyone.”

Ramos bought two AR-15 assault rifles for his birthday and boasted about them on social media.

The Robb Elementary School shooter got into an argument with his grandmother, Celia Gonzalez, over a phone bill shortly before he was shot.

She is reportedly in critical condition after being transported to a hospital in San Antonio.

He then shot Amerie and 18 of her classmates – all under 11 – along with teachers Irma Garcia, 46, and Eva Mireles, 44.

All of the dead came from a single classroom, where Ramos barricaded himself before he was shot dead by a Border Force agent around 1 p.m.

One schoolgirl, Miah Cerrillo, 11, said she survived by covering herself with blood to pretend to be dead.

Footage emerged yesterday of parents yelling at police to enter the school and even threatening to storm the building to save their children.

It is alleged that it took officers 90 minutes to gain entry to the building.

“What are you doing? Get into the building!” one person can be heard shouting as a seemingly panicked woman was wrestled to the ground.

Another woman was heard saying, “You’re trapped inside.”

It’s unclear when the footage was shot, when Ramos was alive or when he was shot at school in Uvalde, Texas.

Javier Cazares, whose daughter Jacklyn was killed in the attack, said: “Let’s just rush in because the cops aren’t doing anything like they should. More could have been done. They were unprepared.”

Meanwhile, chilling photos from an account said to belong to Ramos reveal the teen’s sought-after fame, much like the docuseries Don’t F*** With Cats.

Angel said his daughter ‘wanted to save everyone’

His grandfather said he was a “quiet teenager” who often spent time alone in his bedroom.

“I didn’t know he had guns,” said Rolando Reyes. “If I had known, I would have reported it.”.

Ramos allegedly used the Yubo social networking app to harass women.

One teenager, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “He would be active every day and join our lives and repeat girl names until they paid attention to him.”

She added that Ramos compared himself to the Netflix show Don’t F*** With Cats, a crime docuseries where a group of internet detectives launched a manhunt for Canadian actor Luka Magnotta in 2010.

Magnotta, real name Eric Clinton Kirk Newman, gained online infamy after sharing a graphic video of himself killing two kittens before killing Chinese international student Jun Lin.

Magnotta is currently serving a life sentence in a Quebec prison.
