Dame Judi Dench says she is ‘Britain’s worst cook’

Dame Judi Dench and her date for the 2022 Oscars caused quite a stir as the couple strolled down the red carpet.

The 87-year-old actress, who is a former Oscar winner, attended the show as an Academy Awards nominee on Sunday, March 27 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Judi was up for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Belfast, although the award went to West Side Story’s Ariana DeBose.

And the Hollywood icon was joined on the red carpet by her beloved grandson Sam Williams – who fans say is the “long-lost twin of singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran”.

Judi’s grandson has already caused a stir on social media thanks to his uncanny resemblance to the Lego House singer.

Sam and his beloved grandmother both looked handsome as they beamed for the cameras while walking the red carpet arm in arm.

After seeing the redhead Sam, viewers at home left in disbelief at his similarities to 30-year-old singer Ed.

They shared their hilarious reactions on Twitter.

“I never knew Judi Dench was Ed Sheeran’s grandma! They look so cute together,” one viewer quipped.

She received her first nomination in 1999 for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love.

In Judi’s incredible role, she plays the grandmother of Buddy, 11, whose parents (Caitriona Balfe and Jamie Dornan) are struggling to decide whether to stay in Belfast as the city descends into a state of civil war.
