Dan Stevens, 39, caused chaos on One Show after his hilarious remarks about Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas didn’t say a word between them, when Stevens started his joke.
He was on the show to talk about his new TV series Gaslit, which revolves around the infamous Watergate scandal of the 1970s.
Pretending to describe the new show, he said: “What you have is a crime for a leader who is caught up in a messy war, embroiled in a stupid scandal, and surrounded by idiots are ambitious and should really resign.”
Then he paused.
“I’m sorry, that was Boris Johnson’s intro,” he later added. “I’m so sorry.”

Jermaine let out a chuckle while Alex’s eyes widened in surprise as the two hosts scrambled to figure out what had just happened.
Gasping can be heard in the background.
Dan, dressed in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, returned for a bold second round later.
He said: “Watergate was the original scandal that spawned the ‘gate’ suffix, from which we got Partygate – and all the other stupid scandals.”
