Former BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker tells fans he’s had a long wait at A&E as he shares a harrowing photo of his daughter’s suspected broken finger

Dan Walker revealed his daughter is in the hospital with a suspected broken finger.
The father of three, 45, shared the news on Twitter, telling fans his family is in for a “four hour wait”.
The Channel 5 News presenter has three children, daughters Jessica and Susanna and son Joe with wife Sarah.
Dan did not reveal which child was injured, but did share a harrowing photo of a swollen hand.
He captioned the photo: “Currently at A&E with our daughter, who has a suspected broken finger – 4 hour wait has begun.”
In another tweet, the presenter added: “The hospital is brilliant and today they are understaffed for ‘unforeseeable absence’ (there is a sign). seen at several stages.”
Fans quickly gathered around the former BBC Breakfast presenter and sent messages of support.
One said: “Ouch, that looks painful… hope it doesn’t take too long for you.”
While another replied: “Four hours would be good – hope it’s that quick.”
Dan has a lot on his plate at the moment as she settles into his new home on Channel 5.
The seasoned presenter gave up his position on the BBC Breakfast sofa last month and says he is ready for new opportunities.
Speaking to The Mirror, the former Serious team star revealed he had great chemistry with co-host Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije.
“I think the show has been really good already. It’s just a case of making sure the Claudia-Liza partnership is great, which looks great so far. She’s been amazing. ,” I said.
“I wanted to try and recreate what I had with Louise and with Sally (BBC Breakfast co-host).
Dan lives in Sheffield with his family.
And even though his new gig is in London, at least he won’t have to wake up at 3am anymore.
“I think waking up at 3 a.m. for six and a half years, it definitely affects your brain and body,” he admits.
“So even though I’ve been struggling with four hours of sleep for a long time, I think I’m looking forward to a more regular sleep and wake routine.
“I’m going to stay a couple of nights in London and work four days a week but we’ll work it out and hopefully I’ll spend more time with my family. They’re being very flexible.
“If I want to have a long weekend, like a Monday or Friday off, I can shuffle it around, which is great.”
