Kevin Kilbane described the agonizing five-minute wait he endured as his newborn daughter struggled to breathe or cried shortly after birth.
The Dancing on Ice star – a favorite at Everton and Sunderland – welcomed Keavy Anne along with professional skater Brianne Delcourt of the show in April.
But it was a trauma that came after the mother suffered a hemorrhage during her third pregnancy.
Brianne, who is also a parent to 5-year-old Gracie and 15-month-old Olivia, was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and it led to complications.
The family sat down with ALRIGHT! Magazine At their home in Canada and the former Ireland star, Kevin revealed the heartbreak no new mom and dad has to go through.

The 45-year-old father said: ‘It’s horrible when you see a helpless baby lying on a table with an oxygen mask and a tube down his throat trying to clear his throat and stuff his chest.
“There are a few complications that can be a lot worse. I am very emotional because I was with Bri during the surgery and you know what she has to go through. “
Brianne and Kevin – who met when they worked together on the 2020 series of the ITV show – said everything was going really well until just before the surgery.
She told ALRIGHT! : “Suddenly, I started sweating and I started seeing stars and I looked at the doctor and said, ‘I’m going to faint here. I’m leaving.’

“I had a really bad feeling. My obstetrician kept saying, ‘It’s okay, she doesn’t want to come out!’
“And after an hour and 20 minutes, the doctor said, ‘You’re going to feel a lot of pressure because we have to get her out now.’ And then this pop.
“This was pretty horrible but the blood was splashed right in our faces and she came out but then we didn’t hear anything. I was panicking at this stage and saying to Kevin, ‘OK, talk. with me. What’s going on?’”
Keavy’s two big sisters, Gracie and Olivia, clearly love their new sister, whose name is inspired by Kevin’s Irish roots.
The couple had a tumultuous romance, getting married just a year after they met, but are now living a “messed” life with their three young children and their dog, Cash.
