Dancing on Ice: Brendan Cole scores a perfect 40
Dancing On Ice professional dancer Vanessa Bauer has admitted that she was shocked to be paired with Brendan Cole due to the fact that he is 20 years older than her.
The 25-year-old says she’s danced with younger men before, so she was quite shocked to be partnered with Brendan.
But Vanessa revealed that the former Brendan star is her perfect match.
“The producers really surprised me with the collaboration because there’s a 20-year age gap,” she told The Sun.
“I didn’t expect to be with Brendan when it became clear that there were young men, like I had worked with in previous years. At first, I was worried that we wouldn’t stick together, but because we’re both performers and I’m 25 years old, I feel comfortable.

“Brendan is like a kid at heart – that shows on the ice too, when he throws himself into everything I’m showing him and he doesn’t hesitate to dance.
“He falls and gets up and it amazes me how his 45-year-old body can withstand so much stress. He always said he was toned.
“You can see that too – he’s lost a lot of weight.”
The professional dancer continued: “I’ve heard rumors about him being hot, but I’m also a hot-tempered person – so he met my match.

“I know when I have to take the lead and take over the partnership and he respects that very much.
“We have been a perfect partnership. He wanted to get experience playing on the ice, but as a skater, I had to tell him that the things he wanted to do were impossible and he was very upset. but we never fight”.
Vanessa’s confession comes after Brendan recently confirmed that Dancing on Ice is ‘a fix’ for this year.
Serious Come Dancing’s former pro Brendan appeared on This Morning on Thursday alongside Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne to discuss the upcoming drama.

At one point, presenter Phillip Schofield was emotional when viewer reports suggested that this year’s show had been fixed.
“Obviously there are thousands of conspiracy theorists, ‘it’s a fix, it’s not fair’ all that sort of thing, and no matter how many times you make people like Jayne and Chris say, ‘ yes you can dance and that might give you a little more elegance but it doesn’t teach you how to skate,’ Phillip said.
“You’re all dancers but you’re learning to skate for the first time. So Regan helped get that dance background?” then he asked.
“I think we’re so used to sticking to routines, I think that helps but when it comes to skating it’s completely different,” Regan replied.
“There’s right and wrong, like everything has to be in sequence and step by step, but maybe I know how to hold my hand and my stuff, but that’s it. It’s really a whole new ball game. “, he added.
