Dancing on Ice: Sally Dynevor Discusses Her Dance and Scores

By ITV Dancing on ice Viewers found Phillip Schofield’s comment on Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor to be a bit cold.

The actress, 58, found herself skating on Sunday’s show after failing to complete the lift alone in her routine.

The judges challenged the mother of three to do the lift without assistance – but sadly Sally didn’t finish.

Much-loved star who played Sally Webster on ITV soap since 1986, skating to The Sound of Music as part of music week with her partner Matt Evers, 45.

However, the pair’s performance failed to reach the judges, who scored the pair 31.5 points.

After the panel gave them a mediocre score, Phil, 59, reminded Sally that she was challenged with a lift, quipping: “But jump assist, you don’t want to miss?”

The soap icon seemed quite taken aback by the comment, replying, “No, I know I don’t”, before Matt quickly intervened and shouted that the actress is a “national treasure”.

The awkward moment went unnoticed by fans as many accused the presenter of being ‘cold’ with the Cobbles legend.

One person tweeted: “Ooh Phil doesn’t like Sally?”

Another said: “Looks like even Phil is fed up with Sally.

While the third quipped: “Hahaha, I like the way Phil said it.”

Sadly for Sally as a judge she ‘so badly wanted to impress’ gave her the lowest score.

Stack Come Dancing’s Arlene Philips awarded the actress an unimpressive 5/10.

Sally and Happy Monday star Bez, who was dropped from the show last night, have both faced criticism from fans for not taking more risks during their performances.

However, the actress certainly looks like she’s trying to work out after Matt posted a picture of herself lying face down on the ice after a nasty fall.

Sally shared the photo and wrote: “God this doesn’t happen on Saturday.”

The soap head looked in pain after somersaults, which many viewers assumed was in preparation for the infamous headbutt.

In a short clip shared by Matt of their rehearsal, the pro skater drags a navy blue crash mat down the field as Sally skates behind him.

Matt, who has competed in every Dancing On Ice series, captioned the clips: “Day one.. Musical week. Straight from bed to ice… falling carpet? Hmmm wondering what we’re doing?” “

Fans responding to the post are pondering whether the infamous move in which contestants are twirled around with their ankles – because their heads are dangerously close to the ice – are on the cards.

However, after last night’s performance, it seems the pair don’t want to be overly ambitious.

Dancing on Ice continues at 6pm this Sunday on ITV and ITV Hub.
