Dancing With the Stars’ Neil Delamere looks unrecognizable 27 years after the TV quiz show debuted

COMEDIAN Neil Delamere shared a moment back 27 years ago when he was on an Irish quiz show.

The Dancing With the Stars contestant was then 16 and now looks unrecognizable as he takes to the dance floor in hopes of winning the glittering trophy.

Sharing a snap of his youth alongside a current DWTS photo, Neil’s fans were blown away by his distinct look.

Led by RTE star Ray D’Arcy, Neil took part in Blackboard Jungle, a 1990s Irish quiz show for high school students.

In the opposite moment, Neil with a fresh face without any trace of his current beard and wearing a red shirt.

Neil then shared a photo of the Paso Doble he danced with partner Kylee Vincent on first episode in the new series of Dancing With the Stars.

They danced to I Believe In A Thing Called Love while wearing black and yellow outfits.

Presenter Jennifer Zamparelli praised the “great opening” as judge Loraine Barry told the pair she was “impressive”.

Brian Redmond gave them five points while Loraine and Arthur Gourounlian gave them six, ahead of Neil and Kylee with 17.

Neil shared the photos on Facebook and said: “How it started, how it went”.

“It seems like an obvious journey,” he added.

Hometown Offaly fans all said the same thing in the comments section as they noted that Neil was making the same “Paso face” in both photos.

“The facial expression hasn’t changed one bit,” said Caroline.

Michelle commented: “The facial expressions are similar”.

Joan wrote: “You even perfected your ‘Paso Face’ as a child!”

James added: “A real professional”.

CAT TO WIN

Quiz about a winner for the new DWTS season, judge Brian previously said it would be even harder to win now as the number of celebrities competing has increased from 11 to 12.

He said: “I think Neil Delamere is an outsider with a chance, he can definitely move. But my earliest lead will be Ellen Keane. ”

The Paralympic gold medalist made headlines on social media with her dance performance alongside her dance partner Stephen Vincent.

Ellen said she wanted to join DWTS represent people with disabilities.
