Daniel O’Donnell is set to debut his acting skills later this month with the lead role in an Irish short.
the singer (60 years old) will be starting a new challenge and starring in ‘Night Of The Daniels’, a YouTube video that will be released on October 28 in celebration of Halloween.
The Donegal native has once again teamed up with the producers of his viral Down At The Lah De Dah video, Re-Act Productions’ Shaun Duggan and Ciaran McCann, for the spooky short.
The amusing video for Down At The Lah De Dah showing him surfing, sipping cocktails and playing the ukulele took social media by storm when it was released last year.
Donegal News revealed earlier this year that O’Donnell will have to save Dungloe when it is attacked this Halloween.
Mr McCann told the publication that the video would be a “huge stepping stone” for Re-Act Productions and that working with someone of Daniel O’Donnell’s caliber was a “huge opportunity”.
This comes as O’Donnell will be releasing his brand new studio album, I Wish You Well on November 4.
The upcoming album was recorded at Black Mountain Recording Studios in Jenkinstown, Co Louth.
The 14-song recording was produced by Dave Atkins, who played in Daniel’s band before going into full-time production, and Ciaran Mitchel – the singer’s music director.
