Danniella Westbrook says she’s a ‘tree hugger’

Danniella Westbrook has said her ‘toy lover’ keeps her feeling young, after saying the current relationship isn’t physical because he’s in prison.

The actor, 48, has talked about her relationship with inmate David, 28, in recent months, and now says he’s part of a select group that helps keep her young.

EastEnders’ mate describes her partner – whom she is said to have known for years – as “young”, with her saying he will be 30 at the same time she is 50.

She commented recently: “Everybody has a toy now.” And discussing the different people in her life, including David, she said: “I’m just living the dream. They keep me young.”

In an interview with Daily StarShe cites examples of other women with younger partners, including presenter Vanessa Feltz, 60, whose fiancé is singer Ben Ofoedu, 49.

Danniella says her partner isn’t the only one keeping her young, with her saying she’s “managed by young people” and considers her children “friends”.

The mother-of-two told the magazine she is “having a good time” now, adding that her children have always remained “sharpened” and “updated in life”.

She also revealed in a recent interview that she loves to stay in shape, with the desire to be in great shape for her big birthday that’s coming in November.

“Honestly, I love my fitness, it keeps me alive. […] I want to be at the best of my life at 50 [next year]. I want my body and mind to be in good shape,” she said.

Her comment came after Danniella talked to star Recently about feeling sexually with someone in prison, she said it’s not physical.

She told the newspaper that she and David slept together before he was sent to jail, although she said “nothing like it is happening now” due to his position.

However, Danniella teased that the relationship will become physical when he is released from prison next year, saying: “There will be many sleepless nights […] once he’s out. “
