Danny Dyer will star in new travel show with daughter after escaping from EastEnders
Danny Dyer confirmed he’ll be doing a new travel show with his daughter Dani as he says he’s leaving EastEnders to do more with her.
BBC One’s new flagship soap set will hit screens for the first time on Monday as the show airs on a “new simplified schedule”.
Dyer, 44, who has announced he will stop playing Queen Vic’s host Mick Carter after nine years, appeared on BBC Radio 2’s breakfast show with Zoe Ball from the new EastEnders to mark the calendar change submit.
“Yes, we will soon,” he said.
“I want to work with my Dani more. I think one of the reasons I decided to leave the show was because I wanted to explore working with my little Dani, you know what I mean.
“I love her so much and I think we have such a natural chemistry, such an interesting relationship. I think it needs to be explored more, so we’re excited about that.
“They just introduced my backstory, which I can’t tell you, which is going to be epic. It is very large. ”
Actress Kellie Bright, who plays his on-screen wife, Linda Carter, said: “It’s going to be epic. I really don’t know how I’m going to get through it. Obviously, I’m sad that Danny is going to leave but it’s going to be very, very exciting. ”

Speaking to Ball from the new set, the actor said: “I think audiences have been waiting for this for a long time, and I think, as an actor, me too, so let’s see all the endings. put together and seeing Gray finally get his appearance, I think it’s really exciting.
“We shot some stuff the day before and it’s really emotional for me to speak out loud about this whole journey as Gray because it’s been such a rollercoaster to see it coming to a climax. and to see it all put together – it really affected me more than I thought it would. ”
The EastEnders suite was originally scheduled for completion in 2018 at an estimated cost of £59.7 million, but the final bill was £86.7 million.
Executive producer Rona McKendrick, who worked on the set for 30 years, said on the breakfast show: “It was an extraordinary piece of work. Having worked on the old set for so long, to see this newly refreshed set, with new life in it, is really exciting.”
She added that the set has new alleyways and new streets with garages giving them the opportunity to “explore new storylines”.
The new schedule will air on BBC One at 7:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
It comes after ITV announced that it would also be changing its showtime in March, moving Coronation Street to one-hour episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm, while Emmerdale will switch to 7:30 p.m. time frame.
Speaking to Lorraine, Emmerdale actress Rebecca Sarker said it was a “dream” to play Manpreet Sharma in the ITV drama and that “people were hooked” by her storyline.
“Every couple of weeks you get an email with shooting scripts and it’s just some kind of high-octane drama,” she said.
“Just when you think it’s safe to get back in the water, something else happens, some higher drama happens, so it’s awesome, it’s great to play. I really enjoyed it and like I said, it’s not over yet. “
Good Morning Britain host Richard Arnold appeared on Coronation Street on Monday, speaking to Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin.
The actress said of her upcoming story: “She is a runner. The search for the mother is underway and it will be very complicated. ”
