Danny Dyer confirmed he’ll be doing a new travel show with his daughter Dani as he says he’s leaving EastEnders to do more with her.

BBC One’s new flagship soap set will hit screens for the first time on Monday as the show airs on a “new simplified schedule”.

Dyer, 44, who has announced he will stop playing Queen Vic’s host Mick Carter after nine years, appeared on BBC Radio 2’s breakfast show with Zoe Ball from the new EastEnders to mark the calendar change submit.

“Yes, we will soon,” he said.

“I want to work with my Dani more. I think one of the reasons I decided to leave the show was because I wanted to explore working with my little Dani, you know what I mean.

“I love her so much and I think we have such a natural chemistry, such an interesting relationship. I think it needs to be explored more, so we’re excited about that.

“They just introduced my backstory, which I can’t tell you, which is going to be epic. It is very large. ”

Actress Kellie Bright, who plays his on-screen wife, Linda Carter, said: “It’s going to be epic. I really don’t know how I’m going to get through it. Obviously, I’m sad that Danny is going to leave but it’s going to be very, very exciting. ”

She added that the set has new alleyways and new streets with garages giving them the opportunity to “explore new storylines”.

The new schedule will air on BBC One at 7:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

It comes after ITV announced that it would also be changing its showtime in March, moving Coronation Street to one-hour episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm, while Emmerdale will switch to 7:30 p.m. time frame.

Speaking to Lorraine, Emmerdale actress Rebecca Sarker said it was a “dream” to play Manpreet Sharma in the ITV drama and that “people were hooked” by her storyline.
