Danny John-Jules’s Seriously Refuses To Appear On It Takes Two – And Amy Weeps

Danny John-Jules, the former star of the serious ball, slammed the BBC show, calling it ”dirty” and ”dirty” – as he denied the accusations against him. I bully my dance partner.

Danny, 61, teamed up with dancer Amy Dowden when he joined the sixteenth dance show series in 2018.

The pair were disqualified for the eight-day week only after it was alleged that the actor had brought Amy to tears during rehearsals.

Red Dwarf star Danny has now stated that his hard training has earned him outrage from the show’s producers.

He claims they fabricated bullying allegations to kick him out after he received his first ten points of the season in episode five.

The Death in Paradise star, 59, came in at number seven on the show’s 2018 series

Jules addressed the complaints on the My Time Capsule podcast, hosted by Michael Fenton Stevens.

He said: “It’s a dirty show on that level. On that level, it’s a dirty show – It’s based on tabloid stories.

“The problem with Serious is that it doesn’t matter who you are, you’re walking into a well-oiled machine that was at the time the biggest show on television.

“I knew when I got in there what they expected of me.

“Because I don’t give them anything to chew on, they just go out there and make up.

He says show bosses got everything wrong – and beat the show ‘dirty’

“I told everyone, what did I do at that time, what did I actually do that made people so unhappy?

“I don’t know, no one has told me yet.

“They came up with this cockamamie story about bullying basically – it’s basically a dog whistling, that I’m bullying my partner.”

Reports at the time alleged that Jules yelled and cursed at Dowden, saying, “I’m the star, not you.”

Jules has defied the allegations, claiming they were created by “spiky hat racists”.

He told the podcast: “What I want to know is why would a tabloid journalist go backstage in the judge’s locker room?

“The first person I looked down on when I walked out onto the set that night when I was kicked out of the house was a tabloid journalist sitting right there upstairs, coming out of Shirley Ballas’s dressing room.

“I have never heard the media talk about going backstage on any show except Serious.

“That was the night I was kicked out of the house. I knew I would be home that same night.

”So apparently after I got kicked out of the bar, I went into the bar cursing people saying that I should have won, they were all idiots.

“My mom was there, 84-year-old mum, with my niece and oldest friends, and that’s what [the newspapers] say I did.

“It’s baloney, every word of it is baloney.”
